Steph recently took a moment to share with us some of her beauty musings…
What is your go-to make up look and why?
I like a fresh clean face look for the day, but I love playing up the eyes for a night time look.
As a working mum, do you have any tips for a quick “get ready” routine in the mornings?
There is none, I’m usually straight out the door. If I’m lucky I will cleanse, moisturise and sunscreen and I may pop on some foundation and a bit of lipstick on the cheeks for a glow.
Three beauty essentials you can’t leave home without and why?
I actually don’t take any essentials with me when I leave the house. If I go to an event, I usually have a red lipstick on hand.
What is your signature hairstyle and why?
Ponytail as my son is constantly pulling out my hair!
Favourite lipstick shade and why…
I like to use a lip pencil that is the closest shade to my natural lip colour. I will fill in over the entire lip. It stays on longer than a lipstick!
ModelCo Tip: Like Steph, sometimes we are all about barely there enhancing! ModelCo Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner is a unique skin colour, soft wax pencil allows you to create the perfect pout by giving the illusion of natural, fuller lips.
Signature scent and why?
Coco Chanel – It has memories of when I was young.
Of all the professional beauty advice you have picked up through your time in working with hair and makeup artists, what resonates the most with you?
To drink two litres of water a day to keep your skin in top condition as well as a green smoothie a day. It’s what you put into your body that shows up on the outside.
Do you have an unconventional beauty trick?
I used to put a heavy eye liner on my eye and then take it off with a cotton tip. It gives you’re eyes a natural definition and looks like you are not wearing makeup. Also I use olive oil on my hair and sleep in it overnight.
Favourite “event” makeup look?
Definitely a smokey eye.
What is your go-to exercise regime and how do you factor this into your day?
I like to do three gym session a week – which incorporates weights and a 15 -30min run.
What do you do when prepping yourself for a photo shoot? (e.g. skincare routine, food plan, hair mask etc)
I drink a lot of water, get an early night and I will try to eat something light the night before, like steamed vegetables. I will use a night mask as well.
You always look so stylish! Do you have a signature look?
Not really, I just try to keep it simple. I like dressing in textures: Leather, lace, velvet and mixing this up. Maybe a pop of colour in a clutch or my shoes.
You have travelled to some incredible places – what is your standout destination/holiday?
Every place offers something different, but I love the Cote D’zure.
Describe your ideal Sunday?
Beach walk with my husband and son and then breakfast at Porch and Parlour in Bondi.
